Ok, No pics with this update but here's the latest. Carpets are going in I think Monday. I have been on a mission this week in Atlanta finding fabric for curtains. I have driven my twin sister crazy with making decisions BUT she still loves me.
The dreaded dust ruffle came in that was on back order so now we can pick our master suite room color and we will be painting all weekend. We have to get this done BEFORE that carpet goes in as this woman is a terrible painter and I am noted for spilling things on things where Nick - he's spotless and never has to have a drop cloth.
So as I type this, I will be gearing up for the 2 hour drive home to the Mountains and then off to Home Depot to get more paint. We will turn on the flood lights and paint till the cows come home tonight and gear up for more tomorrow.
Friends from Florida are coming into town next week and they will be the first official Floridians to see the house - semi finished. We are waiting for the rest of you to show up any time. Hopefully we will get our COO and a closing date. We CAN'T wait. Been a rough 2 months. Pressures on, but we will survive!

Garage doors up
We are getting close. We have been working hard getting rooms painted. Still no color chosen for master bedroom. Waitng on back ordered bedspread to match that. Fireplace went in yesterday as you can see. We go over everyday now.
Have had another glitch with the front porch and the steps sinking but Lloyd has assured us that that will be fixed. The closets shelving has been installed too.
Think the thing that is taking the longest is the trim painting. That is a never ending thing.

Almost forgot this one.
Wedding Last week

Permanent Stairs

They put in temporary stairs and then rip them out and put in thin ones to cover with the carpet. Nick had to straddle the edges to get to the top in order to paint the one night because all the slats were gone. That was a sight. He did it though, me, I said forget that - I stayed downstairs and hoisted the paint cans to him.
It's Back and it locks toooo!

I stopped the one day at the house only to find out the front door was back and had a dead bolt on it. Wow - what a dilema that was - but fortuntely, I was able to crawl through the downstairs window to get in so I could see what they had done for the day. We were happy to see that our front door finally came back! We are thinking it went on vacation or something of that sort. Maybe it had a makeover out in California and we will see it on TV one day.
