Its not the greatest picture, but this is our builder, Lloyd Snyder. Click on it to enlarge it, it may view better for you.

Raising the Roof

Roof peak closest to me is where the Game Room will be. By the time these pics are posted, the roof will be much further along. You'll see its progress the next time I post.

What the finished product will SORTA look like

Looking at the floor plans, it is hard to get a visual of what it will eventually look like sooo here is the original house plans and what it will eventually become. The garage will be modified to drive into in the front rather than side. It will be Taupe, with black shutters and white trim and by the way, it will have 2 rocking chairs on the front porch where everyone will find us at any given moment!

And who decided on alllll these windows???

Top picture shows family room with the "fireplace". Picture below is livingroom - again another window! Next is the master bedroom front WINDOW - Can you see the dollar signs in my eyes and all the window treatments I(Brenda) am going to have to make! Yikes. Last one is the stairway to second floor - leading to master bedroom, sewing room (where those window treatments will be made) and the gameroom where the pool table will be over the garage.

It's still growing!

The roof has been started. See if you can find Waldo, no Granny in each of these pictures above.

Foundation / Basement Walls Going Up

You are seeing the forms for the basement walls going up. The walls are 9' foot high and 8" thick. Sorry about the disorganized order of the pics, the blogger has a mind of its own. If you have been viewing my posts since the beginning, you'll know what pics are the front and rear views of the house. In case you haven't, the pic just above is a frontal view. Because of the severe storms and tornadoes yesterday in the southeast, no work was done and therefore the walls did not get poured. The walls should be finished Monday for a Tuesday pouring; Lord willing.

Finished Foundation

Starting with the top picture: you are seeing where my woodworking shop will go in the basement and the area the garage will sit on. The middle of course is an overall view of the entire basement. The picture just above shows one view of the foundation that the garage concrete walls and framing will sit on.

Concrete Forms & Foundation Prep

The prep work for the foundation began Monday, 3/27. The crew laid out the forms and the plumbers rough plumbed for our water and septic. The concrete was schedule for pouring Friday, 3/31.
